Global Bildung Day has a new name: The Global Meeting on Equinox: What it Means to Be Human.
We had great success with the title What it Means to Be Human on Global Bildung Day, March 21, 2024, which was named after the book What it Means to Be Human. We also decided right away that What it means to be human would be an underlying theme for European Bildung Day 2024 and the very explicit theme for Global Bildung Day 2024, September 21. But now we have decided to simply change the name entirely!
What it Means to Be Human will be a general theme in Global Bildung Network with a dedicated web page: https://www.globalbildung.net/what-it-means-to-be-human/, and there will be online activities between the two major events on March 21 and September 21 at Equinox. The Global Bildung Day space in Global Bildung Network has also been renamed What it Means to Be Human.
European Bildung Day will also get a slightly new name, since we usually meet for at least two days, so when we meet in May 2025, it will be called European Bildung Days.
European Bildung Days will still be mainly for professionals, semi-professionals, volunteers, and researchers in various kinds of bildung and, hopefully, also politicians and other decision makers. The Global Meeting on Equinox: What it Means to Be Human will be for everybody who is interested in a global conversation about what it means to be human. The latter is entirely online and will still be free of charge.
