By European Bildung Network
Folk-Bildung has deep roots in Sweden, and 20 people from very diverse Bildung backgrounds joined us for the first European Bildung Network round-table on November 27th, 2019.
With participants from adult education, cultural institutions, the universities, the Swedish Parliament, the Nordic Association, future studies, and some independent teachers, researchers and psychologists, we immediately had a lively conversation.
The main take-aways from the round-table was a need for concrete actions and venues, and that the European Bildung Network must be an open platform for both individuals and organizations, and that no one definition of Bildung may limit our scope.
Almost everybody who was invited responded immeditatley and also participated, which tells us that there is a huge need for a network where Bildung can be both consolidated and taken to the next level.
